* My apologies for submitting other people's thoughts here...I am sure I will get back to my own, soon. In the meantime, the contents of the following email I received meant a lot to me:
Don't avoid the void
"When we feel stuck, going nowhere -- even starting to slip backward -- we may actually be backing up to get a running start."
-- Dan Millman
To change, we must go through a transition zone. It's not easy being in transition. Thoughts, beliefs and habits are all in flux. It can create a sense of groundlessness, of being in a void that can be quite uncomfortable.
When we’re in the void, our first impulse will be to revert to old habits because they feel comfortable. Our goal is to hang in there until the change is complete. Knowing that TRANSITIONS ARE PART OF THE CHANGE PROCESS helps us muster the courage to put up with the discomfort, the uneasiness, the void.
Change requires a letting go of what we’ve always known and done to allow in something new. We need to trust ourselves and higher forces to unfold a new reality for us.
"Every positive change - every jump to a higher level of energy and awareness - involves a rite of passage. Each time to ascend to a higher rung on the ladder of personal evolution, we must go through a period of discomfort, of initiation. I have never found an exception."

I can relate to this as I just got back into my little summer cabin yesterday after traveling to and living in arizona in a small rv I am feeling "out of sorts". I found myself in my chair and in my bed with my remote control...i haven't had any of those three things for almost 5 months. I started feeling like I was getting back into comfortable patterns and then I had to remind myself that I worked my ass off in this little home/office cabin to make that trip happen and as soon as I get my office set back up..and can get back into my workout and dance practices I will be back on track again..its just the transition period that makes me feel lost. I always have to have a to do list and goals to work on otherwise I feel stuck...
Time to change the recording :)

Fair enough LH...I will get to it! ;) Hope you're well.
I'm good. I hope life is being kind to you.
I like your writing. You're a good writer and storyteller. It's a shame to waste the talent. I kinda figure you have a lot on your plate but a nice little anecdote every now and then would be nice.
I was just in a blog by Oliver Schroer who was a Toronto fiddler who just died yesterday but he did the Camino like you did. Thought you might like to read his blog and see his pics of his pilgrimage. The link is www.oliverschroer.com/camino.htm
Hope you are well and enjoying your summer.
